Galatians 6, James 2:13,Matthew 7:2
In this prophetic dream given to Bobby Haaby, a well-known global leader stood beside Father God and began to transform before his eyes into David the shepherd. The Father bent down and spoke privately to him. He knew He was bringing correction, yet there was no harshness in Him. His correction was deeply personal and carried with it extraordinary kindness.
Beside the Father stood a great angel, a watcher with a pen and a book. Bobby understood that he had been sent to observe the nations wherever this leader’s influence had reached. As the leader’s correction became known publicly, people began to respond. Some responded with kindness and mercy. Others wanted judgment, condemnation, and, figuratively, to see the leader crucified.
But then came the startling revelation of the dream: the people thought the leader was the one being measured. In reality, Heaven was measuring their response.
Bobby understood that there were two waves of correction. The first was the correction of leaders within the house of God. But a second wave followed: the examination of the Church itself. How would we respond when God dealt with His shepherds? Would our response reflect the heart of the Father who corrects, or would we demand a judgment harsher than the one He Himself was administering?
This dream is an invitation to examine not only what we discern about others, but the spirit in which we respond. When a shepherd is corrected, Heaven may also be watching the sheep. In seasons of judgment and correction, God is looking for a people who can uphold truth without abandoning mercy.
“For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.” — Matthew 7:2
“Mercy triumphs over judgment.” — James 2:13
